SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Assembles machines, equipment, and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans assembly procedures, following specifications.
Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
Drills, taps, or reams holes using a drill press or hand drill.
Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together.
Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
Brushes and/or sprays lubricants and sealers to moving parts.
Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
Lifts completed systems and transfers them to and from testing bench.

Education and/or Experience
Three years related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
