SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Evaluates, provides support and training, and monitors existing business partners. Research, evaluate, and qualify new business partners. Responds to incoming phone calls, faxes, and e-mails daily. Correspondence may vary from trouble-shooting parts and researching part number(s) to communicating basic knowledge of product components. Provides support and training to dealers at boat shows and visits customers.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties & responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Research, evaluate, and qualify new business partners.
- Maintains and evaluates business relationships of existing business partners through support, training, and follow-up.
- Attends boat shows and visits customers to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Prepares travel reports and expense reports.
- Sorts through and prioritizes incoming faxes and e-mails and directly replies or distributes it to the appropriate person.
- Develops leads for business partners and follows up with them providing support.
- Interfaces with production, technical staff, operations, accounting, and sales on an ongoing basis. Facilitates communication between departments to solve customer issues..

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years experience answering multiple phone lines.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write professional correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form..
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ACT! Contact Management software, Microsoft Excel and Word software.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Must possess a valid California Driver's License having been licensed for a minimum of three years and have a clean DMV record containing no tickets for moving violations or accidents (tickets or accidents less than three years ago from conviction date). This is required for driving company vehicle to run errands.

Additional Information
Salary is negotiable depending on experience/education.
Position Type: Full-time, Salary/Exempt
Scheduled Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mon-Fri; one-hour meal break
